A’ja Wilson has won her fifth WNBA regular-season MVP award and her third in succession, according to AP’s report on NBA.com. Bam Adebayo said he learned the result early after being asked to record a congratulatory message, but kept it secret until Wilson received the news. The Miami Heat center praised the Las Vegas Aces star’s achievements. All five MVP awards discussed in the report belong to Wilson; the tally does not include an MVP award for Adebayo.
