Hanoi's Song Hong agricultural cooperative has developed ECOS straws from natural starch and vegetable ingredients. The Government News portal reports that the product achieved five-star OCOP recognition following three years of research. Its approximately 5,000-square-metre factory produces around 50,000 straws daily as an alternative to single-use plastics. The cooperative says the products have reached export markets including Germany, Japan and South Korea.
