Hateco, Hung Viet, ASV and EHang signed a memorandum of understanding in Hanoi on September 29 to study the development of an unmanned aviation ecosystem in Vietnam. Bao Chinh Phu reported that the partners intend to explore unmanned aircraft and electric vertical take-off and landing vehicles, or eVTOLs, for logistics, seaports and related applications.

The cooperation is expected to progress in stages, from feasibility studies to testing, with technical, legal and financial requirements considered along the way. The memorandum establishes an initial cooperation framework; it is not an announcement of commercial flight routes or confirmation that a transport service is already operating.
