More than 100 documents, historical materials and photographs relating to Ho Chi Minh were presented during a series of events in China on September 9. Bao Van Hoa reported that the programme was organised by the President Ho Chi Minh's Vestige in the Presidential Palace Area in cooperation with Vietnam's Consulate General in Kunming.
The activities extended beyond an exhibition. Organisers met overseas Vietnamese who had encountered Ho Chi Minh in person, recording their recollections and examining family keepsakes. Material was collected and received in Kunming and elsewhere in Yunnan province.
The exhibition placed records of Ho Chi Minh's activities in China within the wider history of relations between the two countries. Some items were being shown for the first time. Books and photographic publications were also introduced and presented to delegates, members of the Vietnamese community and Vietnamese students.
The programme marked 76 years of Vietnam-China diplomatic relations and was linked to the 2026-2027 Tourism Cooperation Year. Combining public displays with the collection of eyewitness memories added personal testimony to the work of preserving and presenting historical heritage.
