Lionel Messi scored once and supplied two assists as Argentina beat Benin 3-0 at the Monumental in Buenos Aires in his national-team farewell friendly on October 6 local time, VnExpress reported. His penalty took him to 126 international goals on his 208th appearance. Organisers staged tributes to the captain after the game. The farewell concerns international duty: Messi continues his club career with Inter Miami under a contract running through the 2028 season.
