The proposed plant has roughly 1,500 MW of capacity and a preliminary cost exceeding US$1.5 billion. The French partner would focus on technology, international financing and LNG supply, with T&T handling domestic procedures and project management.

The cooperation remains preparatory. A long-term gas agreement would be negotiated after the required investor-selection process.
