Revenue managed by Vietnam's tax authorities reached approximately VND1.94 quadrillion in the first nine months of 2026, or 86.4% of the annual target and 13.1% above the previous year, Bao Chinh phu reported. Officials also outlined further digitisation and automation of tax refunds. A pilot to identify eligible refund amounts automatically is planned for December 2026, providing a basis for implementation from 2027. The revenue figure covers collections managed by the tax authorities, rather than the entirety of the state budget.
