VIB says it has secured a three-year syndicated loan of $285 million from nine regional financial institutions, VietnamPlus reported. UOB, Maybank and Cathay United Bank jointly arranged the transaction, with funding costs about 30 basis points below the bank's previous syndicated loan. The deal is part of VIB's plan to raise $1 billion in international medium- and long-term funding during 2026. Discussions with partners on further transactions continue, so completing this loan does not mean the entire annual fundraising target has been achieved.
