Amad would reach one hundred Manchester United appearances if he plays against Leeds at Elland Road on Sunday. Ahead of that possible milestone, the winger has outlined ambitions to increase his goals and assists.
In a club interview published on October 17, the 24-year-old reflected on arriving in January 2021, making early appearances under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and developing through loan spells before establishing a first-team role.
Improving his attacking contribution
His decisive FA Cup goal against Liverpool marked an important step. Amad now wants to produce more consistently rather than be satisfied simply with appearances.
He identified Bruno Fernandes, Matheus Cunha, Benjamin Sesko and Bryan Mbeumo as players from whom he can learn attacking effectiveness.
Fernandes also provides advice away from individual match situations. Their shared Italian makes conversations easier, drawing on the captain's previous Serie A experience.
Support and a longer-term ambition
Amad recalled being close to Eric Bailly after joining United. Fernandes subsequently became the team-mate he most often approached when seeking guidance.
According to the club, an appearance against Leeds would make Amad the fourth African player to reach a United century, following Bailly, Quinton Fortune and Andre Onana. That possibility does not confirm a starting place or guarantee that he will feature.
Beyond the number, Amad wants supporters eventually to remember a substantial contribution. He described playing for United as an opportunity to fulfil his ability, with improving his end product central to the legacy he hopes to create.
