Disney said more than 70% of advance tickets were for theaters carrying the Infinity Vision certification. The figure highlights the role of large-screen formats in early demand but does not represent the film's eventual box-office total.
Anthony and Joe Russo direct the project, with Robert Downey Jr. returning to Marvel as Victor Von Doom. The film brings together characters from the Avengers, Fantastic Four and X-Men.
Marvel is also running a podcast revisiting earlier films ahead of the release. Advance sales provide an initial indication of audience interest, while sustained box-office performance will depend on the theatrical run.
