EuroLeague clubs have rejected a proposal to combine with the NBA Europe project, Webthethao reported, citing ESPN sources. The NBA is nevertheless continuing plans for a 16-team competition that could begin as early as 2027/28. The report says discussions may continue while EuroLeague pursues its own development plans. These are reported negotiations and targets: the opening schedule and full membership of a new competition have not been conclusively established.
