FIBA reports that Chinese Taipei secured a place at the 2027 U19 Women’s Basketball World Cup by defeating the Philippines in the U18 Women’s Asia Cup fifth-place classification game in Malaysia. They join hosts China, Australia, Japan and Korea among the region’s qualified teams. The World Cup is scheduled for July 17–25, 2027, in Chengdu. Coach Rosa Chien said her team would use lessons from the Asian tournament to guide preparations for next year.
