Two evenings with different programmes

The first evening is set to include Beethoven's Eighth Symphony and Schubert's Fourth, the “Tragic”. Deutscher is due to play and conduct “Ludwig Waltz No. 1” and introduce her “Impromptu for Orchestra in B major”. Opera selections draw on Bizet, Johann Strauss II, Tchaikovsky, Wagner and Rossini.

The second evening features Mozart's “Jupiter” Symphony and “Don Giovanni” overture, plus Johann Strauss II's “Kaiser-Walzer”. Deutscher's “Siren Sounds Waltz” and “Grinzinger Polka” sit alongside the established repertoire, with Mozart and Franz Lehár opera excerpts also planned.

An anniversary-year return

Founded in 1946, the orchestra is marking 80 years of activity. The article recalls international touring and collaborations, but promotional descriptions of its standing should not be treated as an independently verified world ranking.

Its previous Vietnam visits were in 2024 and 2025. Supplied photographs are archival, rather than images of the forthcoming November performances. The announced programme combines symphony, opera, waltz, polka and contemporary composition. Actual performances remain ahead, and any adjustments should be checked against subsequent organiser announcements.
