Denso opened their FIBA Women's Basketball League Asia 2026 campaign with a 119-35 victory over Indian Railways at Bengaluru's Sree Kanteerava Indoor Stadium. The Japanese side led 27-8 after one quarter and 58-18 at half-time.
Accurate outside shooting and patient ball movement established a gap the hosts could not recover.
Production across the lineup
Denso made ten three-pointers and recorded 21 assists in the first half alone. They finished with 15 triples, 33 assists and 56.5 per cent shooting from the floor.
Haruna Kasagi scored 23 points, including five three-pointers, and added five rebounds. Minami Yabu and Mio Shiraishi each had 16 points, while Sokhna Sylla contributed 12 points and seven rebounds.

KB Stars next
Coach Vladimir Vuksanović described the game as the club's first international fixture and said the team wanted to bring energy. He welcomed the atmosphere created by local supporters and members of the Japanese community in India.
Denso next face Korea's Cheongju KB Stars on 22 October at 7pm local time, or 8.30pm in Vietnam. They will seek a win to move into the semi-finals.
KB Stars begin against Indian Railways on 21 October, giving Denso an additional rest interval. Vuksanović expects an aggressive, high-paced meeting, an assessment of the upcoming game rather than a result already secured.
