Concerts are influencing travel decisions well before performances begin. Trip.com data cited in an October 20 analysis show flight bookings to Hanoi for October 23–26, around BIGBANG's planned October 24–25 shows, up 74% from the equivalent 2025 period. Passenger numbers in the platform's data rose 76%.
Demand builds weeks in advance
Prominent origin markets included Ho Chi Minh City, Seoul, Taipei, Nagoya, Đà Nẵng and Busan. Fans booked flights an average of 70 days ahead and hotels 76 days ahead. Hotel bookings for October 23–24 were about fifteen times the month's average, according to the report.
For Ho Chi Minh City's October 17–18 concerts, the analysis cited 77% growth in flight bookings and a 621% increase in hotel bookings for October 16–17. These platform measures do not establish total arrivals, completed stays or realised citywide earnings.
Products and measurement need to extend further
The article proposes connecting music with transport, accommodation, food, shopping, museums, heritage and creative spaces. Extra-night packages and cultural itineraries could extend visits, but require coordination among providers.
Hanoi's 2023 BLACKPINK concerts provide historical context: more than 170,000 visitor arrivals and approximately VND 630 billion in estimated tourism receipts over two days. Those past results cannot simply be transferred to current events.
An October 18 industry workshop also raised infrastructure, management and long-term value. Fuller assessment would require actual stays, spending, merchandise purchases, temporary employment and revenue retained by local businesses, alongside ticket sales and booking indicators.
