Techcom Securities, or TCBS, recorded a loan book of approximately VND54.739 trillion at the end of the third quarter, up 25.6% from the start of the year. About 99%, equivalent to nearly VND54.4 trillion, was used for margin lending, according to financial results cited by VnExpress.
Lending drives revenue
The outstanding loan balance is separate from revenue and profit earned during the period. Lending generated VND1.561 trillion in third-quarter revenue, up nearly 54% year on year and accounting for 44% of the total.
Underwriting and securities issuance agency work was the second-largest revenue source at VND737 billion. The company held approximately 46% of the corporate-bond issuance market described in the report.
Total quarterly revenue reached VND3.534 trillion, nearly 12% higher year on year. Pretax profit was VND2.152 trillion, up 6.3% and the company's highest quarterly result to date.
Nine-month performance and capital
For the first nine months, TCBS posted VND5.708 trillion in pretax profit, up 13% from the same period of 2025 and equal to 76% of its annual plan. Operating revenue exceeded VND10 trillion, increasing 28%.
Assets approached VND97 trillion on 30 September, up 20% from the previous year-end. Equity exceeded VND47.4 trillion. The margin-loan-to-equity ratio stood at 1.15 times, below the two-times limit cited by the report.
Techcombank owns nearly 80% of TCBS. The report places the company first in the securities industry by charter capital, margin-lending balance and market capitalization. The figures describe financial balances and results through September, rather than a single newly signed loan or full-year earnings.
