Gabby Williams has won the Alain-Gilles Trophy as French Basketball Player of the Year, finishing nine voting points ahead of Victor Wembanyama, FIBA reported. It is her second award, following 2024. Williams helped France reach their first Women's World Cup final and also excelled in EuroLeague Women and the WNBA. The selection draws on votes from French basketball representatives, media and the public. The nine-point margin is an award score, not a measure of overall fan approval.
