The urban romance When I Meet the Moon began streaming on iQIYI on November 5 with four episodes, Tuổi Trẻ reports, citing Chinese outlet 163. The series stars Lu Yuxiao and Lin Yi. The opening figures cited in the report include an iQIYI heat score above 6,000 and four advertising placements from one brand. They measure different parts of the launch.

A reunion at the centre of the adaptation

The iQIYI series listing identifies the source novel as Folding Moon, the final book in Zhu Yi’s Nanwu trilogy. The other two works in the trilogy are Vụng trộm không thể giấu and Khó dỗ dành, as Tuổi Trẻ lists them. Its leads reunite in Nanwu. Yun Li, who has difficulty in social situations and a hearing problem in one ear, gradually acts on a long-held affection for Fu Shize. The series also follows family tensions and supporting romances.

Tuổi Trẻ says the first four episodes spend much of their time introducing the characters and their histories. That emphasis shaped some of the opening reviews.

Platform figures and early viewer reactions

The heat score put the show first on the launch ranking cited for fastest-growing heat. The report also cites a figure above 100 million for interest in Lu’s character, a separate platform measure from the overall heat score.

Some viewers quoted by Tuổi Trẻ found the pace slow or questioned a scene in which a mask keeps Yun Li from recognising Fu Shize. The colour treatment and Lu’s delivery drew criticism, while others praised the tentative depiction of unrequited love. The reactions cited concern the opening episodes.
