The maximum E10RON95-III retail price falls to VND27,029 per litre in Vietnam's 15 October adjustment, down VND1,225. The Ministry of Industry and Trade also lowers E5RON92 by VND732 to a ceiling of VND26,971 per litre.
Ceilings use different product units
Diesel 0.05S is capped at VND29,106 per litre, a decrease of VND22. Fuel oil 180CST 3.5S rises VND1,043 to a maximum VND22,135 per kilogram.
The two petrol ceilings differ by VND58 per litre. These official maximums should be distinguished from individual companies' selling prices or rounded price announcements. Fuel oil is quoted per kilogram, unlike petrol and diesel.
The notice sets 15:00 on 15 October for the fund measures. Price increases cannot begin earlier than that point, while reductions must occur no later.
Product markets and fund measures differ
The ministry reports mixed international product movements between the 8 and 15 October adjustments. Petrol blending inputs declined, while average diesel and fuel-oil quotations increased.
The adjustment collects VND200 per litre for the stabilisation fund from biofuel petrol. Diesel has neither collection nor expenditure, while fuel oil receives VND500 per kilogram in fund support.
The ministries place the decision within international prices, exchange rates and domestic mechanisms, with market and supply monitoring continuing.
These are the measures for this specific adjustment. They do not establish the next period's prices or mean every retailer must sell at the maximum.
