Major dealers quoted SJC gold bars at around VND140.5 million per tael for purchases and VND143.5 million for sales at 09:15 on October 5, according to VietnamPlus. The levels were unchanged from the previous close, leaving a spread of about VND3 million per tael. The State Bank’s central exchange rate was VND25,643 per US dollar, up VND7, while commercial-bank rates moved separately. These figures describe the morning observation in the report.
