Memphis Grizzlies said Isaiah Stewart sustained a moderate left ankle sprain in the first quarter of their preseason game at Atlanta on October 5. The medical update published by NBA.com on October 10 said the centre would be reevaluated in two weeks. That is an assessment checkpoint, rather than a confirmed return date. Stewart joined Memphis from Detroit during the 2026 NBA Draft. The update did not provide a specific schedule for his return to competition or confirm how many games he would miss.
