Indonesia coach John Herdman said Thom Haye’s red card gave his side an opportunity to show unity in its 0-0 FIFA ASEAN Cup draw with Malaysia. Haye was sent off in the 38th minute, leaving Indonesia a player short for more than 50 minutes at Gelora Bung Karno.

Malaysia applied pressure but did not score. Herdman described the setback as a chance for his players to fight together.
