Vietnam coach Kim Sang Sik regretted his side’s failure to convert second-half chances in the 2-0 defeat by Thailand on September 29. Speaking after the match, he said Vietnam had used three midfielders to strengthen its defensive work before adding attacking players after halftime.
Kim said his staff would review the footage and make adjustments before the final group match against Pakistan on October 2. He described injured striker Nguyen Xuan Son’s absence as a significant attacking loss and acknowledged his responsibility to find alternatives.
