Vietnam's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism selected Hộ linh tráng sĩ: Bí ẩn mộ vua Đinh for submission to the preliminary round of the 99th Oscars' International Feature Film category, Báo Văn Hóa reported, citing Decision 2509 issued on September 25. The responsible companies must complete registration materials and submit an English-subtitled copy under the organizer's deadline.
Directed by Nguyễn Phan Quang Bình, the film draws on history and legend from the Đinh era. Selection as Vietnam's submission is an entry step; it is not an official Academy nomination, much less an award.
