Ho Phuong Lien has introduced the music video Dem mua buon khong anh, returning to location filming after roughly six to seven years, Thanh Nien reported on 5 September. The former Than tuong bolero runner-up describes the project as a challenge in both vocal interpretation and acting for the camera.
A new interpretation of an existing song
Lang Lap composed the song from poetry by Hoang Thanh Thuy, originally for Giao Linh to perform. The version with Ho Phuong Lien uses location footage to develop the song’s story and emotional shifts.
The singer said she rehearsed and recorded repeatedly to find the right approach. Some passages called for a gentle delivery, while others required greater intensity. Her task was therefore not simply technical accuracy, but moving convincingly between different feelings within the same song.
Twelve hours of filming
According to the account in Thanh Nien, the team filmed for about 12 hours, including several sequences in cold rain. Ho Phuong Lien described performing in a real setting as different from working in a studio or on stage. After years away from location shoots, she found the return both nerve-racking and worthwhile.
Her stated plans remain focused on sentimental songs, central Vietnamese folk material and music about home. In future releases, the point to watch is how she refreshes that familiar material while retaining her own vocal character, rather than relying only on recognition from the television competition.
