Thailand midfielder Kritsada Kaman said the FIFA ASEAN Cup is a different competition from the traditional ASEAN Cup. Before the Group B meeting with Vietnam, he said Thailand wanted all three points to improve its chance of advancing.
Kritsada described Vietnam–Thailand matches as highly competitive. His remarks preceded the September 29 game in Bandung.
