Schedule version checked on 5 October 2026: VPF’s season and match pages currently list Hà Nội–Bắc Ninh for 19:15 on 11 October at Mỹ Đình, and Hoàng Anh Gia Lai–SHB Đà Nẵng for 17:00 on 10 October at Quy Nhơn. Compared with this article’s 2 October snapshot, the fixture table updates those venues from Hàng Đẫy and Pleiku respectively; both match dates and kickoff times stay the same. This records the version displayed by VPF on 5 October, without establishing when or why the venues were adjusted.
The standings below retain their 20:00 cutoff on 2 October 2026 (UTC+7). The 5 October schedule update and the 8 October result do not change the historical comparison of 14 clubs and 15 matches completed by that cutoff.
V.League 1 resumed on 8 October 2026, with Thể Công–Viettel losing 1–3 to Hồng Lĩnh Hà Tĩnh at Hàng Đẫy in the fixture scheduled for 19:15. The result was checked against VPF’s match page on 10 October 2026. Five games in round three of the 2026/27 season remain scheduled for 10–11 October; Đồng Nai–Công an Hà Nội, also in that round, finished 0–3 on 20 September. The 8 October date was recorded in the schedule checked on 2 October, replacing the 9 October date in this article’s 22 September version.
A result appearing within a round does not mean every team has completed it. To find the next V.League 1 match, read the individual date and status rather than relying on the round number alone.
Why does round three extend into October?
VPF’s Notice 02, issued on September 17, specified one early third-round game on September 20. The league would then pause for nearly three weeks to accommodate national-team preparation and matches during FIFA Days.
This is the arrangement for this phase of the 2026/27 season. It is not a permanent rule that each V.League round spans several weeks, or that every September break follows the same dates.
All seven third-round fixtures
Times below are local to the venues in Vietnam. The table retains the dates, kickoff times and venues checked against VPF on 5 October 2026, and adds the 8 October result verified on 10 October 2026. Of the six October fixtures, one is complete and five remain scheduled for 10–11 October, subject to later changes.
| Date | Time | Fixture | Stadium | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 20 September 2026 | 18:00 | Thành Phố Đồng Nai – Công an Hà Nội | Bình Phước | Finished, 0–3 |
| 8 October 2026 | 19:15 | Thể Công–Viettel – Hồng Lĩnh Hà Tĩnh | Hàng Đẫy | Full time, 1–3 |
| 10 October 2026 | 17:00 | Hoàng Anh Gia Lai – SHB Đà Nẵng | Quy Nhơn | Scheduled |
| 10 October 2026 | 18:00 | Thép Xanh Nam Định – Ninh Bình | Thiên Trường | Scheduled |
| 10 October 2026 | 18:00 | Hải Phòng – Thanh Hóa | Lạch Tray | Scheduled |
| 11 October 2026 | 18:00 | Sông Lam Nghệ An – Công an TP. Hồ Chí Minh | Vinh | Scheduled |
| 11 October 2026 | 19:15 | Hà Nội – Bắc Ninh | Mỹ Đình | Scheduled |
Following the 8 October result, five third-round games remain scheduled for 10–11 October. CAHN–Hà Nội on 18 October is CAHN’s next league date, rather than an extra round-three fixture: CAHN completed that round on 20 September. See our CAHN analysis and October schedule.
Two registration deadlines, distinct from kickoff
VPF’s 8 September notice separates the first registration/transfer and ITC/TMS period, ending 30 September, from the V.League 1 squad-replacement/addition deadline of 15:00 on 8 October. The First Division’s squad deadline is 15:00 on 15 October.
The 8 October date therefore does not extend the international transfer window or establish that a particular player can play. For round-three viewers, the match-specific squad list remains the relevant check.
Fourteen clubs at one cutoff: unequal games played
Statistical cutoff: 20:00 on 2 October 2026, Vietnam time (UTC+7). This table covers only the 2026/27 V.League 1 season. KBVN+ reconciled VPF's table with 15 completed results: seven in round one, seven in round two and the early third-round game on 20 September. At the 20:00 cutoff on 2 October, all six October fixtures were still unplayed, so no points or appearances from them are included here. The 8 October result is excluded from this historical snapshot.
| Club | Games played | Points | KBVN+ calculated points/game |
|---|---|---|---|
| Công an Hà Nội | 3 | 9 | 3.00 |
| Ninh Bình | 2 | 6 | 3.00 |
| Sông Lam Nghệ An | 2 | 6 | 3.00 |
| SHB Đà Nẵng | 2 | 3 | 1.50 |
| Thép Xanh Nam Định | 2 | 3 | 1.50 |
| Công an TP. Hồ Chí Minh | 2 | 3 | 1.50 |
| Thể Công – Viettel | 2 | 3 | 1.50 |
| Thanh Hóa | 2 | 3 | 1.50 |
| Bắc Ninh | 2 | 3 | 1.50 |
| Hải Phòng | 2 | 3 | 1.50 |
| Hồng Lĩnh Hà Tĩnh | 2 | 3 | 1.50 |
| Hà Nội | 2 | 0 | 0.00 |
| Hoàng Anh Gia Lai | 2 | 0 | 0.00 |
| Thành Phố Đồng Nai | 3 | 0 | 0.00 |
The club order follows VPF's table at the checked boundary. The points-per-game column is KBVN+'s calculation: points divided by games played, shown to two decimal places. It is not the official ranking method, an end-of-season projection or a measure adjusted for opponents' strength.
Why is the difference exactly one game?
At the 20:00 cutoff on 2 October, CAHN and Thành Phố Đồng Nai had completed their third-round meeting on 20 September, taking them to three games. The other 12 clubs had completed only the opening two rounds. The team-appearance check is 2 × 3 + 12 × 2 = 30. With two teams in each match, 30 ÷ 2 = 15 completed games. At that historical cutoff, the seven third-round pairings comprised one finished fixture and six still scheduled for 8, 10 and 11 October.
VPF's Notice 02 identifies the 20 September fixture as an early round-three game. The games-played column therefore does not establish that the other 12 clubs are waiting to make up a postponed match. This explanation concerns the early fixture and the announced league break, rather than every possible makeup fixture elsewhere in the season.
What do nine points versus six tell us?
CAHN have nine points from three games; Ninh Bình and Sông Lam Nghệ An each have six from two. The actual points gap is three, while all three average 3.00 points per game at this boundary. That illustrates why points and games played should be read together. It neither changes VPF's official order nor guarantees future results, and the three clubs have not faced identical opponents.
Using and citing the comparison: State the 2026/27 season, the 20:00 Vietnam-time cutoff on 2 October 2026 and the inclusion of completed games only. Results and points come from VPF; KBVN+ performed the 15-match reconciliation, the 30-appearance check and the points-per-game calculation. This is a dated snapshot; later results require a new reconciliation. The article was edited with assistance from an AI writing tool, and the arithmetic was checked against the source data.
Four steps for reading the calendar and table
Identify the competition and season first. Select the 2026/27 V.League 1 season. A familiar team or venue does not by itself establish which competition a game belongs to.
Read the date, not just the round number. Đồng Nai–CAHN on September 20 and Hà Nội–Bắc Ninh on October 11 both belong to round three. Their separation in the calendar does not move the early fixture into a different round.
Separate results from scheduled games. Đồng Nai–CAHN finished 0–3 on 20 September, and Thể Công–Viettel–Hồng Lĩnh Hà Tĩnh finished 1–3 on 8 October. The five pairings on 10–11 October remain scheduled fixtures; a published kickoff time does not establish that a match has taken place.
Check games played when assessing positions. At the verification point, CAHN had nine points from three games, while Ninh Bình and Sông Lam Nghệ An had six from two. The early fixture explains the unequal match totals, which need to be read alongside points.
A V.League 1 break is not a pause for all Vietnamese football
TP.HCM–Văn Hiến on September 25 and Bình Minh Sài Gòn (ASU) against the Thái Nguyên men’s team on September 27 belong to the First Division, or V.League 2. Neither belongs in the V.League 1 round-three table above. Vietnam’s senior men facing the Philippines on September 26 is an international fixture, rather than a club-league match.
Use the V.League 1 page for the top division and Vietnam’s national-team schedule for internationals. For the completed early game, see Đồng Nai–CAHN on September 20. Before planning a stadium visit, check the date, time and venue against the latest schedule.
