Dominik Szoboszlai missed Liverpool's meeting with Manchester City because of a hamstring problem, Andoni Iraola confirmed on 11 October. The manager said the midfielder returned from international duty feeling overloaded and with tightness in the muscle. Szoboszlai attempted to train but did not feel fully fit, ruling him out of the Anfield squad. Liverpool have not provided a date for his return.
