Chinese actress Li Xiaoran has confirmed that her divorce from film producer Xu Jianing was completed last year. In a personal social-media statement cited by October 20 reports, she said they no longer had marital ties and wished both of them a peaceful life.
Clarification amid online discussion
Her marital status attracted renewed attention amid reports that Xu faced enforcement over a debt exceeding 20 million yuan. Online posts questioned whether the actress would help address the payment.
The article cited an unnamed Sohu source saying she preferred to keep her private life out of public attention and spoke to avoid misunderstanding. That explanation remains a media source's account, rather than evidence establishing financial motives or either person's legal obligations. Her direct confirmation concerns the divorce having been completed in the preceding year.
Marriage and acting career
Li and Xu held their wedding in Belgium in 2015 and have no children together. On the reality programme Nhất lộ phồn hoa, broadcast in early 2025, she said they had agreed not to have children. She described parenthood as a major responsibility for which she did not feel ready.
Born in 1976, Li became known through the 2001 drama Như sương, như mưa lại như gió. Her television work also includes Joy of Life, Đời này có em and Three-Body, alongside more recent reality-show and advertising appearances.
The current public clarification is distinct from the 2025 completion of the divorce. Earlier wedding photographs are archival material, and online speculation does not establish a connection between the separation and reports about Xu's finances.
