Malaysia will be without Dion Cools and Faisal Halim for the FIFA ASEAN Cup third-place match against Vietnam on October 5. Bong da Plus cites Malaysian media and coach Tan Cheng Hoe's confirmation that captain Cools left camp for family matters. Faisal returned to his club for treatment following an injury against Indonesia. The absences change Malaysia's available squad for the match at Gelora Bung Karno in Jakarta.
