Malaysia's football federation published an open letter on October 2 asking FIFA to explain why stoppage time in Indonesia's match against Bangladesh increased from two minutes to seven. VnExpress reported that Indonesia scored twice late on to top Group A on goals scored. FAM said its request concerned procedural clarity and transparency, rather than a challenge to the result or another team's performance. The article did not report a FIFA ruling on the request.
