Michael Carrick says Luke Shaw and Kobbie Mainoo have not travelled to Madrid after problems sustained against Tottenham, Manchester United reported ahead of the Atlético match. Matthijs de Ligt and young defender Dan Armer have travelled, although inclusion does not guarantee a start. The Champions League fixture begins at 20:00 BST on 13 October, or 02:00 on 14 October in Vietnam. Carrick has not announced a complete starting XI, with other players still sidelined.
