Minh Kiên has discussed her preparation and demanding scenes in Trại buôn người in an interview with VnExpress. She plays Út Đẹt, a young woman deceived into a criminal trafficking network, tracing her character’s change from innocence to fear. The actor described action rehearsals, swimming lessons and the pressure of working with the production team. Her account concerns the making of a fictional film; images of the character are not documentation of a real trafficking case.
