Apple Studios visual effects workers secured their first IATSE contract, establishing standards for wages, hours, healthcare, retirement and safety. Variety reports that it sets minimum rates for covered roles and provides overtime protections.
The agreement also includes rest periods, AI protections and employer health and retirement contributions applying to hours worked since January 1. These provisions cover workers within the Apple Studios agreement, rather than establishing identical benefits for every visual effects worker in the industry.
