Goalkeeper Patrik Le Giang made several saves in Vietnam's 1-0 win over the Philippines in the opening Group B match of the 2026 FIFA ASEAN Cup. VnExpress highlighted his stop from Javier Gayoso's near-post shot in the 54th minute as the Philippines applied pressure.

This is an assessment of a player in an already completed match, not a new victory. Vietnam kept a clean sheet, although the Philippines still created dangerous chances.
