Nobita tries a day of school in Delhi in Namaste! Nobita, Study Abroad in India. The Doraemon Channel schedule lists the story for 17:00 Japan time on November 7 on TV Asahi, equivalent to 15:00 the same day in Vietnam. Tuổi Trẻ describes it as the fourth instalment of World Doraemon, a series built around visits to different countries.
A school day arranged by a gadget
The official preview says Nobita wants to try his luck somewhere nobody knows him. Doraemon supplies a name tag that can arrange one day of study abroad. Nobita chooses India while eating curry. The gadget assigns him to a primary school in Delhi, and Doraemon goes with him through the Anywhere Door.
The two use a lassi-flavoured translation gadget and follow the name tag’s map to the school. Nobita changes into a uniform and meets his new classmates. The official preview says a gadget shrinks Doraemon, who joins him in class. Tuổi Trẻ notes that Nobita’s skill with a string game helps him make friends.
Doraemon’s wider launch in India
Tuổi Trẻ also cites an October 3 TV Asahi announcement about a Doraemon film that began screening in Indian cinemas on October 2. It was the first theatrical release in the country for the film series and screened in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The newspaper reports that promotional activities also reached schools and shopping centres.
The November 7 time is the Japanese television slot. The announcements cited for the episode do not give a Vietnamese release date.
