Japan beat South Korea 2-0 in the Asian Games women’s football semifinal to advance to the final against North Korea. Mamiya scored both goals after a goalless first half, according to BongdaPlus’ match report.
She opened the scoring with a header from Ueno’s delivery before exploiting space through the middle to double Japan’s lead. Japan then made changes while South Korea could not find a response. South Korea will face China in the bronze-medal match.
