Utah Jazz center Jusuf Nurkić sustained a partial plantar plate tear in the second toe of his right foot during the October 4 preseason game against Denver, the team announced. He will be re-evaluated in four weeks, with another update expected at that point. Nurkić averaged 10.9 points and 10.4 rebounds across 41 appearances for Utah last season. The four-week timeframe specifies a reassessment and does not guarantee that he will be cleared to play then.
