At a roundtable with U.S. businesses in New York on September 23, Vietnam’s General Secretary and President To Lam called for closer cooperation in three areas: science, technology and innovation; energy, infrastructure and green growth; and finance and capital markets. He urged the parties to assign responsibility and set clear timelines and plans so agreements can become projects.
At the event, Vietjet signed an agreement with Starlink on in-flight internet. Vietnam Airlines also signed memoranda of understanding with Visa and Amazon Web Services on payments, travel, technology and data. The signings mark announced cooperation; the related services and projects still need to be carried out under their plans.
