Other Mommy earned US$3.6 million in previews across 2,850 domestic screens, Variety reports. The Jessica Chastain-led horror film is positioned as a contender for the weekend box-office lead. Fellow new release The Social Reckoning recorded US$650,000 in previews. Industry projections of a US$22–28 million opening for Other Mommy remain forecasts and should be distinguished from the reported preview receipts, with the full weekend result still outstanding.
