Paris FC’s 3–1 victory over Monaco left Liam Rosenior’s side fourth in Ligue 1 with 17 points from nine matches. According to Get French Football News in The Guardian, Lassine Sinayoko scored twice and supplied Pablo Pagis for the other goal as the club marked Pierre Ferracci’s final match in an executive role.
A concentrated attacking contribution
Sinayoko now has eight goals in nine league appearances. Including assists, he has contributed to 13 of Paris FC’s 16 league goals, making his influence a recurring feature of their start rather than a single outstanding afternoon.
The report recalls his hat-trick in a 3–2 win over Marseille and a double in the 4–3 victory against Rennes. Wins over Strasbourg and Nice, plus a draw with Lyon, have also helped establish Paris FC among the leading teams.
Monaco’s response came from Folarin Balogun, who replaced Paris Brunner at half-time and scored in the 66th minute. A separate Guardian report identified it as his first goal since the World Cup. It was a positive individual moment within a defeat, with opportunities still contested under Filipe Luís.
Investment and a leadership transition
Ferracci is moving into an honorary presidency after ending his day-to-day leadership. He joined the club in 2006 and became owner and president in 2012. Although the Arnault family acquired a majority stake in 2024, Ferracci retained shares at the time of the report; leaving the executive role does not mean that holding had already been sold.
Paris FC spent almost €80 million over the summer, the third-highest total in Ligue 1 according to the analysis. That investment and Rosenior’s work with younger players provide context for the club’s stated ambitions.
The next test is whether the team sustains its points return beyond nine rounds, while developing attacking support around Sinayoko during the new leadership phase.
