Park Hang-seo apologised on September 18 over remarks about Thai football, VnExpress reported. The controversy followed Kanchanaburi’s 1-1 draw with Nakhon Pathom in Thai League 2 on September 16, when he disputed refereeing decisions.

In a letter published on his club’s page, Park said he had not intended to disparage Thailand’s national team or players. He acknowledged that comparing them with Vietnam had caused hurt, stressed his desire for improved refereeing standards and pledged greater care in future remarks.
