Kanchanaburi Power president Prawat Kithammakunnit has publicly backed Park Hang-seo amid speculation about the coach's future. In a message posted on the morning of 20 October, he said the club was pursuing a long-term plan.

Prawat stated that Park would not be dismissed simply because the team failed to win promotion this season. He described enthusiasm for building the side and the patience required to see the process produce results.

Support despite pressure

Kanchanaburi were sixth after seven rounds with ten points, five behind the leaders, according to the report. Park was appointed before the 2026-27 season with the task of helping the team return to Thai League 1.

Results below expectations had contributed to pressure and social-media rumours. The president's intervention clarifies the club leadership's current position, rather than confirming that the promotion target has already been achieved.

It also indicates that the club intends to allow time for the coach to shape the team instead of judging the project entirely on one campaign.

Earlier refereeing dispute forms the background

The report recalled a previous 1-1 draw with Muang Loei United, in which Kanchanaburi conceded in the sixth minute of second-half stoppage time. Park reacted angrily towards the officials and criticised the handling of the game.

Those events preceded the president's latest message. The new development is Prawat's explicit support for continuing the project with Park, while the team's league position and promotion prospects remain to be settled on the pitch.
