France drew 1-1 with Italy at Stade de France in Nations League Group A1, Zinedine Zidane's first home match as national coach. VnExpress reports that Michael Olise put the hosts ahead with a free-kick before Alessandro Bastoni equalised. Supporters gave Zidane a special welcome, but Italy proved a demanding opponent. France were unable to turn the occasion and home advantage into a victory.
