Phnom Penh Crown moved to six points in Group H of AFC Champions League Two with a 2-1 away victory over Gangwon. According to BongdaPlus, Dyer's 78th-minute penalty restored the Cambodian side's lead after the hosts had equalised from the spot earlier in the second half.
The visitors strike before the interval
Gangwon had the initiative during the opening period, but their attacking pressure produced limited accuracy. The report records four first-half attempts, with only one on target.
Phnom Penh Crown defended firmly before Mijland opened the scoring in the 44th minute. That goal allowed the visitors to enter the interval ahead rather than needing to chase the match.
Gangwon advanced after the restart and were awarded a penalty. Hleihel converted in the 61st minute to make it 1-1, but the equaliser did not complete a home comeback.
A second penalty decides the result
Jeong Seung Bin subsequently fouled Dyer inside the area. Dyer converted the resulting penalty in the 78th minute, putting Phnom Penh Crown ahead for a second time.
The hosts pressed again, with Byon Heon Yoo producing a dangerous header in second-half stoppage time. Goalkeeper Vichet Um saved it to protect the visitors' one-goal advantage.
The win leaves Phnom Penh Crown top of Group H after two fixtures. Six points provide a useful early position in the qualification race, although progression has not yet been secured. The result belongs to AFC Champions League Two and should be distinguished from the separate ASEAN club competition.
