Asian Games container accommodation criticized for limited space
Container accommodation for Asian Games athletes at Nagoya port has drawn criticism over limited space, including reports of three-person rooms sharing bathrooms.
About 200 units are intended to house 2,000 people as part of a cost-saving arrangement combining containers, a cruise ship and hotels.
Organizers maintain that properly registered delegations have suitable accommodation. Some athletes who toured the units gave positive assessments, indicating differing views of the facilities.
