David Raya says criticism of Arsenal as boring does not concern him ahead of their Champions League match against Bayern Munich. The goalkeeper pointed to ten wins from the team's first eleven matches and said the players enjoy competing for victories.

The debate followed a 1-0 win at Nottingham Forest, secured by Noni Madueke's late goal. Mikel Arteta acknowledged that Arsenal could have attacked better in that game while describing the critics as a small minority.

Improvement remains possible

Arteta argued that every leading team has areas to improve. He highlighted greater possession, more shots and wider attacking involvement compared with last season.

He also distinguished facing a low defensive block from the demands of Bayern's higher-pressure approach. Arsenal's shortcomings at Forest, he said, were still matters within their own control.

Last season's penalty-shootout defeat by PSG in the Champions League final remains a source of motivation. Raya believes Arsenal now have more ways to play and are better equipped to control games against elite opponents.

Kompany's availability uncertain

Bayern will be without suspended Michael Olise and could also lack Vincent Kompany in the dugout. A viral infection has affected the coach's legs, and he missed Tuesday's training session.

Assistant Aaron Danks took the pre-match media duties and confirmed Kompany had experienced leg pain. He did not give a definite recovery date, saying the situation was being assessed daily. Danks will lead the team if required and remain in contact with Kompany, whose absence has not yet been confirmed.
