Real Madrid issued a statement on September 22 in response to La Liga president Javier Tebas, after he criticized content linked to Real Madrid TV and media outlets close to the club. Real said Tebas was using his institutional position to target the club and called for the league's leader to represent all clubs fairly.
The latest dispute followed the Madrid derby, when Jose Mourinho criticized refereeing and Tebas responded on social media. Real argued that Tebas's comments damage confidence in La Liga's fairness. That remains the club's allegation and position, not an independent finding that the league has lost its neutrality.
