Cristiano Ronaldo was called up by coach Jorge Jesus for Portugal’s first four 2026-27 Nations League matches. At 41, the Al Nassr forward is entering a 24th season with the national team; the squad has 25 players.
Ronaldo has scored 146 goals in 233 internationals. Jesus said selection depends on current form, not past achievements. Portugal are in Group A4 with Wales, Norway and Denmark, opening against Wales in Lisbon on September 24. The report says Ronaldo needs 21 goals to reach 1,000.
