Senegal secured their first win at the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic futsal tournament with a goal 30 seconds from the end of a 5-4 victory over Panama. FIFA's men's round-up also records wins for Argentina, Portugal and Morocco.

Group A decided late

Mouhamed Diakhate and Mamadou Diagne each scored twice for Senegal, with Saliou Camara also on target. Panama responded through Duan Ramirez, Jose Almoguea, Michael Mosquera and Joel Saravia before Diagne supplied the late winner.

Argentina needed a final-minute Valentino Martinez strike to beat Afghanistan 2-1. Goalkeeper Ahmad Esmaeili's own goal had put Argentina ahead, and Ali Ahmadi equalised with a left-footed shot before the late deciding goal.

Portugal dominate, Morocco recover

Alexandre Gaspar scored four in Portugal's 11-1 win over Solomon Islands. Artur Capistrano added a hat-trick, Tiago Salvado scored twice, and Ricardo Duarte and Santiago Monteiro completed Portugal's tally. Charles Daomae scored for Solomon Islands.

In a separate FIFA interview, Gaspar attributed the performance to a serious approach and respect for the opposition, placing the team result above his individual goals.

Morocco overcame three deficits to beat Paraguay 6-3. Alae Ait Challa scored a hat-trick, Zakariya Sarghine netted twice and Brahim Houdane added one. Facundo Boderone scored twice for Paraguay, alongside Octavio Caceres.

FIFA's next listed programme turns to the women's group finales: Fiji against Venezuela, Ukraine against Senegal, Iran against Italy and Cameroon against Costa Rica. The men's teams continue after a round featuring both narrow late victories and a large winning margin.
